Wholesale Terms and Conditions for Bookstore Orders

Dog Ear Publishing titles are available through two primary distribution resources, Ingram Book and Baker&Taylor. Books may be ordered through your normal sales process with either of these distributors. Your wholesale discount will be determined by your agreement with the vendor.

You may also order books directly from Dog Ear Publishing.

Dog Ear Publishing wholesale discounts are determined by our authors, though on average it is 40% off the retail price. All titles on the Dog Ear site are listed at full retail. Please note that not all Dog Ear Publishing titles are returnable. Most of our books are sold on a non-returnable basis. Please contact us for terms associated with a specific title.

Dog Ear requires pre-payment on orders less than $500. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express will allow your order to process immediately. You may also send us a Check or Money Order and your order will process upon receipt. For orders in excess of $500, you may request a credit application. Please contact us for additional information.

Our books are digitally printed, so your order will process quickly – typically orders are shipped within 2-4 business days. Full color books do require additional time – the standard time for processing a full-color paperback book order is 5-7 business days. Hard cover books are additionally complex, and process in about 7-10 business days.

Purchaser is responsible for freight costs.

Ray Robinson
Ray Robinson

When Ray first entered the publishing industry, authors relied on “vanity presses” to produce their work – many of whom would charge $15,000 or more and leave the author’s garage filled with hundreds of books. Ray, along with coworker Alan Harris, joined forces with Miles Nelson to create Dog Ear Publishing to provide the author community a self-publisher with a heart. The group’s application of new technologies and publishing on demand reduced the cost of publishing a book to a fraction of what it had been for previous generations; authors now have the ability to publish a book in as little as six weeks and print as few as a single copy.
