About the Illustrator

Jorge Pacheco has been an artist/cartoonist since age two, and a professional for the past 26 years. Mr. Pacheco has drawn many famous characters (Bugs Bunny, Power Puff Girls, Jonny Quest, Space Ghost, Garfield, Tom & Jerry), produced a syndicated comic strip, illustrated children’s books (Bugs Boodle’s), and worked on graphic novels (Zenescope Comics’ “1000 Ways to Die). In his free time Mr. Pacheco volunteers for various charity organizations, such as the San Diego Blood Bank and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation doing portrait caricatures. About the Conceptor

Phillip William Sheppard is an actor, celebrity, blogger, philanthropist, and the source, inspiration and persona of the main character in the 2013 novel The Specialist: The Costa Rica Job. Mr. Sheppard molded the fictional persona of The Specialist (a James Bond-like former covert operative, lethal in ability, and highly capable of handling the utmost mayhem) from his US Army experience, prior federal service and popular stints on the CBS television show Survivor. In his free time Mr. Sheppard raises thousands of dollars for worthy charities such as Michelle’s Place, Standup to Cancer, and Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. He currently resides in Southern California.

About the Author

Charles Peterson Sheppard is the author of The Specialist: The Costa Rica Job. The book began in 2011 as a serial blog written under the pseudonym CPSWorks. He then wrote the full novel in 2012, first published independently as an e-book in January 2013. Archway Publishing also issued two print editions in 2013. Originally from upstate New York, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from UCLA and a Master’s Degree in Education & Public Policy from Ashford University. A former teacher, correctional counselor and parole agent, he currently resides in Southern California.
