JAMES G. SANBORN, JR. was born in Shanghai, China in 1932. He served in both the 11th Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division. The author earned his B.A. degree at Maryville College and his M.A. degree at Ball State University. Now retired after teaching art in public school for thirty-nine years, he is a member of the Hamilton County Art Association as well as a member of the American Legion and the Masons. He lives in Indiana.
