Pandemonium is the true account of a twenty-five-year-old wife and mother who suffers one of the most devastating experiences that a husband or wife can suffer. After her husband is killed, Shelly has to recover not only from her own trauma but also help her now fatherless two- and three-year-old daughters cope with losing their daddy. Shelly learns that burying her husband’s ashes is just the beginning of difficult times. She must deal with neighbors who bully her and her children, seek legal help to assist with lawsuits and mounds of paperwork, and ensure that her little family has financial resources. Eventually she moves to a different town but still continues on earning her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s Degree. After she learns more about her husband’s activities, she ponders the notion of whether or not she is worthy of love. Yet through each struggle, Shelly protects her daughters and gradually allows herself to trust and to be open to a new love. She finds that she is indeed worthy to be loved again.
After the sudden death of her husband in 2011, Bethany Ackerson was at a complete loss during the funeral and the aftermath. She wrote this book to inspire who are going through difficult times. She wants others to know that there is hope, that there is a chance for love again.
She is the twenty-nine-year-old mother of two very active children ages six and seven. Along with her soon-to-be husband, they live in Glenwood, a small town located in the ski country of western New York. Along with a Newfoundland dog named Chumpers and a cat named Tinkerbell, they enjoy many family activities that range from playing hockey to taking hikes in the forests.
Bethany enjoys many activities but is quite fond of sewing and calligraphy. She reads many types of genres, but adores psychological thrillers.
