In this inspiring memoir of loss and renewal, Sol Englander recounts his life’s journey. Born to an Orthodox Jewish family in Hungary, Sol grew up learning the art of commerce from his father, a successful small-business owner. Through luck and determination, Sol survived the Holocaust. He showed no less determination after the war as he rebuilt his life, fi rst in Israel, then in America. Through it all, his inner core has remained strong, defi ned by shrewd mastery of business, fi erce love of family, and an abiding devotion to Judaism and the Jewish people.
Holocaust survivor Sol Englander is the founder and president of Rosco, an automotive-accessory manufacturing fi rm located in Queens, New York.
Moving to Israel after World War II, he immigrated to the United States in 1959 with his wife, Trudy. They have two sons and nine grandchildren.
