Come along with me as I confess all! Did you ever start to weave something that you thought would be beautiful and watch in horror as it turned into one of the ugliest things to ever come off your loom? Do you have an embarrassing number of unfinished projects? Have you ever been frustrated because the fiber you must have for a project is on back order, or worse, has been discontinued? Confessions of a Weaver is a weaver’s companion book that explores with humor the emotions and thoughts engendered by an intense relationship with weaving.
Sherrie Amada Miller is still trying to figure out how weaving came to dominate her life and fill almost every room of her home with looms and fiber. She is grateful for her supportive and fiber tolerant husband. A former elementary school art teacher, Sherrie now enjoys teaching beginning weaving and holds classes in her Whippany, NJ studio, formerly known as her family room. She is an active member of the Jockey Hollow Weavers Guild in Mendham, NJ and has contributed articles to Handwoven Magazine. In-between weaving and teaching she enthusiastically pursues her other passions; studying French and Chinese.
