IF YOU CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD AND BELIEVE THAT GOD RAISED him FROM DEATH, YOU WILL BE SAVED. Becoming a Christian has many benefits while we are yet here on earth. When adversity knocks on your front door, Jesus, who was given all power by God, will intervene on your behalf and bring you through your situation safe and sound. If an untimely illness attacks you, Jesus is a healer who supersedes medical science.

There is a peace found in Him that can soothe any discomfort. Jesus is able to overcome depression, grief, and heartbreak. There is nothing He can’t defeat that could possibly overtake you in your life. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.” If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, why not now!

I, John William Scroggins, was born June 13, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to William and Dorothy Scroggins. My parents are both deceased. I attended Little Rock Public Schools from elementary through high school. Upon graduating from high school in 1962, I moved to Los Angeles, California. I lived and worked in Los Angeles until entering the United States Air Force, February 4, 1964. I was discharged from the Air Force February 2, 1968.

I married a young lady named Frankie during my military enlistment in 1966. My spouse and I were blessed with three children from 1966 through 1970, when I was on active duty and residing in Cleveland, Ohio. I returned to Los Angeles in 1970 with a family and immediately enrolled in school at Los Angeles City College, earning an AA degree in transportation in 1972. I transferred to California State University Los Angeles the same year. I earned a BA degree in journalism in 1975 from California State University. I was called into the gospel ministry by the lord in 1994 and was ordained as a minister in 2002.
