Rozell Peikert Giesie grew up on a farm in the tiny South Texas community of Egypt. Growing up on the farm was always an adventure, especially when it involved her sister, or one of her five brothers. There was always something to do with the pets, farm animals and the endless imagination of a group of kids. It was some of these life adventures that led her to write this and other stories of growing up in the mid 1930’s to 1950’s. Rozell married Ernest Giesie, and they have three children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
