The
tyrannical king is dead and the world is saved once

effort, author Christopher M. Salas tells the tale
of Carnmassicre, whose father, Morgmodeus, was killed
during the height of his reign, the Eclipse. Morgmodeus
held a tight grip on the Bytiluna star system and
now his son must rise to the legacy of his father
to defeat those who ended the Eclipse. Carnmassicre
seeks to replicate the weapon used to kill his father
and get his revenge on those who ended his life.
Salas
recounts the story of a diverse range of characters,
good and evil, in the first of the DarK EclipsE
series. Spanning a 22-year period, DarK EclipsE:
Rise of an Era Book I
is told in chronological order—from the demise of
the First Era of Darkness through the missions of
a new corps, developed to bring down Carnmassicre’s
newfound sovereignty.
The
book contains all the elements of a solid science
fiction novel: Morgmodeus, fallen leader of the
Dark Eclipse, whose tyranny was limitless; the Demonixa,
a nation of angry citizens who reemerge from the
ashes of their fallen leader, Morgmodeus; and Carnmassicre,
son of Morgmodeus, whose legacy brings him to avenge
those who struck down his father. There is also
the well-developed character of Minda-Prosperine,
one of Carnmassicre’s minions, who while sent on
an important mission, is able to transcend time
and space.
No
story of evil would be complete without the “good
guys.” That’s where Maxwell Leer comes in. A retired
major with a troubled past, Maxwell is enlisted
by the Corps, a legion of soldiers and scientists,
to bring down Carnmassicre’s plan of destruction.
Along the way, he meets the beautiful, Sara Manning,
an astronomer who is the daughter of a famous scientist,
and together they endeavor to stave off Carnmassicre’s
empire.
Salas
invites readers into the world of these characters
in what is ultimately a continuing battle of good
and evil in times of love and war. Will Carnmassicre
reign? Will there be a future or not? This is only
the beginning.
