In roughly 110 words, this funny, rhyming story narrates the
adventurous activities of the trouble-making family cat through
the eyes of a child. As with most pets, he sheds, sneaks outside,
scratches furniture, and simply makes a mess! A twist at the end
reminds you that they sure do love him, even if he is a bad kitty.
This charming book is sure to bring smiles, laughter and joy to
children and those reading with them. A wonderful keepsake!
With its simple language and a recurring pattern, this book targets
the preschool/early reader audience, but will be cherished by
any age child. Short on plot and long on rhyming words, this fun-filled,
happy picture book would fit in well with any preschool or playgroup
storytime with its singsong verse. The playful text describes
the fun, but frolicsome family pet – a cat that is always
“paws-deep” in mischief! The captivating illustrations
done in markers and watercolor engage the reader with lots of
child appeal. The story comes alive with uncomplicated pictures
that present a humorous look at the life of a feline! Simple sentences
and delightful illustrations make this a purr-fect introduction
to the pleasure of reading.
This paperback book is flexible yet durable. Right-sized to bring
along everywhere and anywhere! It can easily fit in a seat back
pocket, diaper bag, back pack or right next to your child’s
car seat. Great for gift giving, too!

|
Christine lives with her husband
and children in New Jersey. She is a graduate of Syracuse University’s
S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Fordham University’s
Graduate School of Business Administration. When she is not cleaning
fur balls off of the floor, she enjoys writing children’s
picture books that express her enthusiasm, energy and soul. Her
goal, as a storyteller and mother, is to evoke a passion for life,
laughter, and love of reading.
The Author hopes to encourage reading and writing among our youth.
You can schedule Christine Kaputa to give a classroom/library
presentation at ReadBadKitty@yahoo.com. Teachers/Librarians/Administrators
can enhance the reading experience by having students meet and
learn from a published children’s author! An author visit
can inspire your students to read and love books and write their
own stories. Please ensure that you have plenty of copies of Bad
Kitty! in your library and classrooms for all students to enjoy.
There are two options to choose from: Author Talks and a Hands-on
Writing Workshop. Although her newly published book, Bad Kitty!,
is written for elementary school-age children and younger, she
can speak with older children, teens, or adults about the writing
process and/or publishing, so spread the word to other teachers,
administrators, and your PTA. Christine can develop a custom presentation
based on your needs. Please let us know which program best fits
your needs.
If you are interested in having Christine visit your school or
library, please contact her directly for further information on
programs, fees, availability, etc. It's best to schedule visits
as far in advance as possible. The Author can be contacted at
