Our children are experiencing a serious health crisis. If we do not get educated about it and facilitate
change it is estimated that our children
will not even live to the current lifespan
of adults today. In fact, cancer, diabetes,
asthma, obesity, ADHD and degenerative
diseases are more prevalent than ever.
Tween Kwisine: A Road to Better Health
has been especially designed for kids ages 9 to 14 and their families.
Many of the recipes have been submitted by kids from around the country.
The recipes are easy to prepare and only utilize natural wholesome
ingredients. This translates to meals, snacks and desserts that are free
from artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, transfat, excess sugar, and
salt. Throughout the book you will find health facts and tips as well as
some history of common foods and comparisons between the classic tween
favorites and their fast food counterparts.
The goal is to get kids interested in learning about and preparing healthy
food and be entertained in the process while fueling their creative sides.
Now let's get cooking!

About The Author:
|
|
Having earned her Master's in Public Health and worked as a
health educator and wellness speaker for over a decade, Corie
sees the downward spiral of children's health first hand. In
response to the over 40,000 negative health messages our kids
receive annually, the idea for this book was born. Change can
happen and we can win. It's going to take time, patience, and
families getting back in the kitchen and out of the fast food
restaurant and convenience food mode. What we eat does
make a difference and small changes can add up to big results.
